| NOMAD (1) Definition: A member of a community that moves with its animals from place to place. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Has a purpose for 'roaming' (connect to #2). 2. Considers it a necessity to move around with the others and their animals. 3. Healthy and fit. That is, does not fall seriously ill during travels. 4. Respects the rights of the animals and looks after them well. 5. Does not practice bestiality or stop the animals from breediing naturally. 6. Controls the animals effectively such that movement does not result in a damage to or destruction of economic assets (= farmlands, properties, etc.). That is, no unplanned losses arise from trips. In other words, person/community breaks no law during its journeys. 7. Has a basic education to be able to read (road?) signs, if any, and to communicate effectively with others who he/she/they meet along the route(s). 8. Member cooperates with other members of the community. 9.
