| NOISE POLLUTION (1) Definition: Noise, often from traffic, which upsets people where they live or work. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. The cause or causes - impatience, unreasonableness, etc. - will be known by all, even if not admitted by the annoying 'noisemaker(s)'. 2. A law, rule or regulation for there to be no noise, will not be in place. Or the relevant law, if any, will not be enforced strictly. 3. The people responsible for nuisance are not hard of hearing or unperturbed by the unnecessary hooting, screeching, clanging, etc. 4. The level or frequency should ordinarily be controllable. That is, extremity will be indefensible, even if attempted to be justified. In other words, the decibels will be beyond the normal or tolerable. 5. The residents of the noisy environment will suffer some serious losses - lack of calm, distraction, deafness, etc. - in the situation. 6.
