No-show
NO-SHOW

Definition: (informal) A person who is expected to be somewhere and does not come; a situation where this happens.

* This is not about a situation.


1. Person prepared and got ready and probably commenced movement to designated place, which he or she knows for sure.

2. A serious event or happening, which is beyond the person's control, occurs which prevented him or her from reaching planned destination.

3. Person sends no representative on realizing that place will not be reached at the time expected.

4. No apology or presentation is offered or made later.

5. A loss occurs for the people or things that expected person.

6. Nothing was lost by absentee. (And person could have gained by being present somewhere else.)

7. No viable alternative could be secured in the circumstances, to make failure to turn up meaningless (connect to #5).

8. Person escapes any form of sanction for refusal to be present.

9. No opportunity will be available for person to make amends, in the future, for absence.
