| NO-MAN'S LAND Definition: An area of land between the borders of two countries or between two armies, that is not controlled by either. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (to emphasize). 2. No dispute about ownership of the area. 3. Area is unoccupied by humans and/or animals, ... and not even by some so-called peacekeepers. 4. Nothing is dumped on the land by either country/army. 5. Space above the land (= sky) is not occupied or dominated by the airforce of either of the contending parties. And none of the countries has a satellite up, up in the sky above particular area of land! 6. Land area is specific and identifiable. That is, measurement or bounds of neutral area is definite (to emphasize). 7. No buildings (built-up area) or trees (forest) on the land. That is, area has clear, through visibility from both ends or sides. 8. There is nothing under the ground that was put underneath by either country or army: no tunnels or bunkers, unexploded mines, etc. 9. Area serves purpose(s) or used to achieve goal(s). ___________________ ... it's GOD's. | |
