| NO-GO AREA Definition: (especially British English) An area, especially in a city, which is dangerous for people to enter, or that the police or army do not enter, often because it is controlled by a violent group. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful, especially for the residents! (Connect to #7.) 2. Safe, secured and protected for criminals and the criminally-minded. 3. Lawless, disorderly; a haven for unchallenged criminality (= rapes, robberies, kidnappings, banditry, etc.). That is, no legitimate government presence in area, until and unless ... . 4. 'Organized', with each gang having its own area of dominance, control, influence, etc. (Connect to #2 & #3.) 5. (Reserved.) (Area is located in the 'heart' of the city - not on its fringes or edge or outskirts.) 6. No law enforcement agent has an official accommodation in this area, whether property is occupied or not.
