| NEW TOWN (1) Definition: (mainly British) A town that has been planned and built as a single project, including houses, shops and factories, rather than one that has developed gradually. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have place built as a 'one-stop', big or small, 'green' or not. 2. The architectural plan had appropriate approvals or authorization, ordinary and/or masterpiece ... whichever types of designs. 3. Building or construction will be top-grade; of excellent quality, after all required Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, whoever the builders or contractors. 4. Reachable or accessible, with minimum efforts or minimal resources, whatever its name or reputation. 5. Safe and secured to be in. That is, residents, commuters and visitors, and industrial or factory workers will be adequately protected while in place, wherever its location. 6. Its physical infrastructures or facilities will be durable or have reasonable longevity. That is, place will not likely 'develop' into a slum or ghetto in the immediate future, be it crowded or not. 7. Regularly maintained, constantly serviced, speedily redeveloped, etc., whenever necessary.
