| NEW BROOM Definition: (British English) A person who has just started to work for an organization, especially in a senior job, and who is likely to make a lot of changes. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Considers it vital to make loads of changes. 3. Knows the changes desired, but only on studying new situation. 4. Shows enthusiasm, commitment, capability, etc. at work. 5. Does not get to new job with a bias, prejudice, etc. against staff/employees/system, etc. 6. Has an ability or a capacity to resist those that will be against proposed changes. That is, will not succumb to pressure to revert some decision(s) or change his or her mind (connect to #8). 7. Does nothing illegal in the process or attempts to effect changes. 8. Never tires. That is, makes all the necessary changes required. 9. Achieves objective(s) as exactly hoped or planned for, and timely too (connect to #6). 10. Changes made are all appropriate, for the good (= growth, progress, development and advancement) of the organization. 11.
