| NETWORKING (1) Definition: A system of trying to meet and talk to other people who may be useful to you in your work. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (connect to #2). 2. Considered vital to network as your objective(s) may not be achieved on account of only your own strength/ability. 3. The people being met and talked to are of the right calibre/status. 4. People are met and talked to timely and promptly. 5. Nothing illegal is promoted and/or done by 'circle of helpers' in the network. 6. System is serviced effectively. That is, relationship established is sustained and nurtured by constant contact, updating, briefs, etc. 7. Truth, honesty, sincerity, openness, transparency, etc. are the hallmarks of the system (= union and cooperation). (To emphasize.) 8. Appropriate (useful and lasting) help is obtained and deserved progress is achieved at work, as a direct result of contacts made through the system. 9. Relationship ends or is terminated at the right time.
