| NEED (4) Definition: The state of not having enough food, money or support. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. No desire exists, at this point, to 'pack it all up'. That is, state is not before a personal desire to die (= to commit suicide) or that of deliberately trying to kill somebody for lacking food, money or support. 2. What little is possessed is not being prudently managed. 3. There is no guarantee of a source of help: supply, provision, replenishment, harvest, etc. And no friend to borrow or a place to steal successfully from! 4. Rate of depletion of the scarce food, money or support is fast, quick (connect to #2 & #8, to reemphasize). 5. No motivation present to work harder to obtain needed materials, because the likelihood of getting succour from an arrangement such as sharecropping, a cooperative or collaborative endeavour, loan or overdraft, etc. is non-existent. 6. Nothing valuable is possessed that can be traded (= sold) or exchanged (= given) for food, money or support. And no investment is owned from which a return is expected. 7. A great loss is the sure outcome of the situation (connect to #3). 8.
