| NEED (1) Definition: [ ~ (for something)/ ~ (for somebody/something) to do something ] A situation when something is necessary or must be done. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Thing is purposeful and necessary (see definition, to emphasize). 2. No option or alternative is or will be available or provided, immediately or at a later time, in the circumstance, that would have made doing the doing the thing unnecessary or not compulsory. 3. A serious danger lies in not doing thing, or in not doing thing promptly, that may lead to a great loss, difficulty, sanction, etc. 4. Thing must not be left undone or unattended to or avoided.
