(disapproving) The fact of thinking too much about a single issue and how it could affect you, without thinking of other things that could also affect the situation. ii. (disapproving) If you refer to an activity as navel-gazing, you are critical of it because people are thinking about something for a long time but take no action on it. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary - the initial thinking. 2. Long duration will not be considered as excessive. 3. A sanction or punishment for inaction will not be in books. 4.
