| NATURALIZATION (1) Definition: The act of making somebody who was not born in a particular country a citizen of that country. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (connect to #2 & #8). 2. Considered necessary to give outsider citizenship. 3. An application or a request for privilege was made by the person to be admitted to citizenship. 4. Application is processed legally. And appropriate documentation and/or certification is done on granting approval for citizenship. 5. Former citizenship, if any, is renounced, on being granted citizenship of new country (to emphasize). 6. All the rights and privileges, without exception, are given to the new joiner/entrant. 7. The natives or 'originals' welcome the new citizen wholeheartedly. That is, person will not be discriminated against or be segregated from others, on account of newness of citizenship. 8.
