Natural wastage
NATURAL WASTAGE

Definitions:

i. (British English) The process of reducing the number of people who are employed by an organization by, for example, not replacing people who leave their jobs.

ii. (mainly British) The process of employees leaving their jobs because they want to retire or move to other jobs, rather than because their employer make them leave.

1. Process will be purposeful and considered a necessity.

2. Optimal efforts were put in, while employed, by those departing.

3. Departure (= retirement, resignation, transfer, etc.) was prepared for or expected by organization. That is, the people leaving, whatever their cadres, go on own volition - not orchestrated or engineered, rushed or hurried to go, by employer.

4. The law, or a policy, cannot be used to 'interfere' with situation.

5. 'Wastage' will not result in an unplanned loss for organization. That is, normal recruitment, promotion, etc. will occur as necessary.
