Narrow-mindedness
NARROW-MINDEDNESS

Definitions:

i. The state of being not willing to listen to new ideas or to the opinions of others.

ii. A situation of being unwilling to consider new ideas or other people's opinions.

1. There can be no justification for unwillingness.

2. No duty or onus to listen to or consider another's point of view.

3. A rationalization will be made or attempted for 'selfishness'.

4. Who is unwilling will have independent thoughts and viewpoints concerning matter in contention. But there will be no misgivings about own thoughts (= ideas) or beliefs (= opinions).

5. Loss, disadvantage, etc. that will occur from or in situation will not be acknowledged, appreciated or realized immediately by whoever is 'limited' or 'restricted' in the mind.

6. Being narrow-minded will eventually be regretted, whether or not admitted or apologized for.
