| NARK (1) Definition: (British English, slang) A person who is friendly with criminals and who gives the police information about them. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Person has a purpose for maintaining relationship (see definition). 2. Does not participate in a crime or share in the spoils of a criminal act. 3. Never suspected by the criminals, and gives nothing away. 4. Does not claim a reward, if any, offered by the police for information leading to an arrest. And does not pass information to another person for the purpose of later sharing a reward. 5. Passes only genuine, useful information to the cops. 6. Information gets to the police timely and directly. 7. Never betrayed by the police! That is, safe from reprisal/revenge attack by the criminals. (To emphasize.) 8. Achieves objective(s).
