NAME AND SHAME

Definition: (idiomatic - name and shame) (British English) To publish the names of people or organizations who have done something wrong or illegal.

1. Considered purposeful to expose 'sinners'.

2. Believed necessary to use the print medium.

3. Publisher will be ready for a lawsuit or legal case, in case ...

4. Publication will occupy a prominent space, be widely circulated, seen and read by the confirmed offenders and the public.

5. Owners of names listed are specifically identifiable.

6. No pictures will accompany names. (See definition, connect to #5.)

7. Wrong or illegality will be stated in publication. (To emphasize.)

8. Publication will have a salutary or sobering effect on wrongdoer. That is, naming will actually result in being ashamed for culprits.
