| NAGGING Definition: (disapproving) The act of continually asking someone to do something that they have not done yet or do not want to do. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to insist but, this is only for the nag. 2. The ask can be done or should ordinarily be doable. That is, the wherewithal or capability to act will be possessed by who is being harassed to do particular thing. And the thing being requested to be done will not be an illegality or immorality. 3. Request won't include a threat, 'blame game', conditionality, etc. 4. An initial response or a reluctant reaction to what is demanded, by tantrums or pestering, will inevitably lead to only an unwanted exacerbation, aggravation, worsening, etc. of the previously peaceful situation or earlier prevailing circumstances. 5. Who requests will be wrong-headed; unwilling to listen to reason. 6. Act or action will achieve objective(s) in the end, however long it takes for demand to be met. That is, 'cantankerous' person will have his or her way, whatever the seemingly intractable ask was. 7.
