| BAN (1) Definitions: i. [ ~ (on something) ] An official rule that says something is not allowed. ii. A formal prohibition. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements above the line should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. (Reserved.) ('Deserved' or justified. That is, an offense, a sin, etc. was committed - misdemeanour(s) admitted or not, once the prohibition is pronounced by the appropriate authority - legal, social, religious, legislative, etc.) 3. Lasts for a specific period, including for life, where applicable. 4. The language of rule or prohibiton will be very clear; cannot be misinterpreted for something else. That is, will be observed or served and will last for the exact period, as pronounced. 5. Benefit(s) earlier gained, if any, where there had been a flouting of order, will be returned by the person or party suffering prohibition. (To emphasize.) 6. Imposed at the time, when there can be a negative effect on the banned party or person, leading to a loss, injury, etc. 7. Will be 'served' or observed not by a proxy, but by the concerned offending party. 8.
