Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation
MOUTH-TO-MOUTH RESUSCITATION

Definition: The act of breathing into the mouth of an unconscious person in order to fill their lungs with air.

* All seven elements should be in.


1. Act is purposeful - friend or foe.

2. Necessary for person to be made conscious again - man or woman, boy or girl.

3. Effort is started in good time - whatever the time of emergency.

4. Volume or quantity of air, whatever its quality, is adequate to have desired effect - that is, with or without an odour!

5. Action achieves objective(s) - gets the person unconscious back up, ... even if death comes shortly after.

6. No emotional feeling develops thereafter, from contact of lips and/or tongues. (to emphasize, connect to #7).

7. No unplanned loss, embarrassment, exhaustion, infection, etc. is suffered or contacted by helper, on the person regaining consciousness. That is, 'kiss' is not regretted.
