| MOURNER (1) Definition: A person who attends a funeral, especially a friend or a relative of the dead person. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. * See perfect mourning etiquette. 1. Has a purpose and considers it necessary to be at funeral. 2. (Reserved.) (Person is not the killer or suspected killer or the one indirectly responsible for the death of deceased.) 3. Arrives at the right time, before commencement of activities and stays till the end. 4. Will participate fully, as required, in the rites, etc. 5. Does not break down and disrupt proceedings, causing embarrassment for self and inconvenience for others. 6. Dressing, poise, speech, etc. does not contradict the grief that is expected to be displayed at occasion. (And mourning or behaviour would not turn the dead in the grave!) 7. Does nothing to show displeasure with or hatred for the dead. That is, acts or speech made, if any, is appropriate at the occasion. 8. Behaves well all through - not drunk, shoving, pushing, screaming, picking pockets, etc. 9.
