| MORTIFICATION (1) Definition: The act or process of making somebody feel very ashamed or embarrassed. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for who causes situation. 2. An act or action exists or happens that brings about feeling. That is, shame or embarrassment does not arise from inaction, silence, etc. 3. Person shamed or embarrassed was not prepared for the extremity of feeling or emotion, even if there was suspicion of a probability. 4. The situation is not caused by who is made to feel shame or embarrassment. That is, what caused situation is not what is done to person, but what another different person does, that affects him or her - the mortified - directly or indirectly. (To emphasize.) 5. A loss of reputation, confidence, a feeling of discomfort, inconvenience, etc. will arise from or in situation. 6. Nothing can be done in situation to reduce or cushion the effect of shame or embarrassment. And situation cannot be protested against. 7. Effect or fallout of act or actions that causes great shame or embarrassment will last for a very long time. 8.
