| MORAL MAJORITY Definition: (usually - the moral majority) The largest group of people in a society, considered as having very traditional ideas about moral matters, religion, sexual behaviour, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements would be in. 1. Usually quiet or silent, sometimes even afraid, to speak out against decay or decadence in society. 2. Having fun, enjoying and benefiting from their own 'ancient' ideas, etc. - not wishing to try, experiment or attempt to do what the others are doing or wallow in the 'filth' that the others are in. 3. Will not endorse the ideas or views or associate with the acts, actions and activities of the 'immoral minority'. 4. Will tolerate and bear all the (mis)behaviour and indignities - taunts, mockery, tease, etc. - that may be brought their way by smaller 'wayward' group. 5. Wishes or wishing, prays or praying, etc. that the 'immoral minority' change from their 'evil' or 'bad' ways, for good. _________________________________ THE 'HOLIER-THAN-THOUs'. | |
