| MONOLOGUE (1) Definition: A long speech by one person during a conversation that stops other people from speaking or expressing an opinion. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary by talker. 2. What is being said is clearly audible. 3. Continuous or endless chatter, somehow makes some meaning or sense. 4. There is a desire or willingness by others to make a contribution, etc. to the discussion, conversation, etc. 5. A gesture, conversation stopper, etc. aimed at getting blabbermouth to pause - not stop - will be ineffective. And no physicality will be involved in trying to interject talk. That is, no fight will arise as a result of the speaker being thoughtless. 6. (Reserved.) (Disinterest is eventually shown by the others present and drowsiness, etc. sets in thereafter.) (Connect to #3.) 7. Not much can be said or done after speaker decides to finally pause or stop (?) - no time! 8. Achieves objective(s), but this is only for the 'storyteller'. 9.
