| MODERATE Definition: A person who has opinions, especially about politics, that are not extreme. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Position (= opinions) are specific and identifiable. 2. Independent-minded, even if not an 'independent'. And will take neither a liberal nor an extreme side in an argument, debate, discussion, etc. 3. Will not reject the outcome of moderation. That is, will bear the consequences of being 'neither here nor there'. And will not become an extremist or a liberal as a result of fallout of position held. 4. Remains 'middle of the road' for as long as desired. That is, can change only when he or she is personally convinced of the need to switch opinions. 5.
