MISJUDGEMENT (1)

Definition: The formation of a wrong opinion about a person or situation, especially in a way that makes you deal with them or it unfairly.

1. Full access, contact, communication, etc. to or with person, or in situation, was available during period. (But this was not taken advantage of by you.)

2. Evaluation, study, assessment, etc. made of person or situation was not thorough (connect to #1 & #3).

3. You believe or suspect that you were given cause to have a doubt or misgiving. (You will not admit that you were dumb!)

4. No serious effort was made by you to recheck or cross-check information, circumstances, etc. before a conclusion was drawn or arrived at.

5. Person misjudged does not or cannot ask and is not given a chance to clarify a position. And situation does not recur, before a conclusion is drawn, to afford you an opportunity for a reconsideration. (And person cooperated or situation remained calm.)

6. Loss is suffered by who is wrongly judged. And you probably feel bad as well, for the wrong assessment made. (Connect to #7.)

7. You will be convinced, in the end, about the wrongness of your judgement - the faulty assessment. But it will not be possible to make amends later. (An apology will therefore never be made for mistake.)
