| MILITANCY Definition: The activities involved in using, or a willingness to use, force or strong pressure to achieve your aims, especially to achieve social or political change. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful for the militant(s). 2. Considered a necessity to adopt approach. 3. Verbal complaints, peaceful protests, sensible appeal, etc., etc. to achieve objective(s) have been deployed and earned nothing tangible. 4. Participant(s) have no regard for the law or constituted authority. 5. No chance or provision for a sustained ceasefire, genuine negotiation, sincere retreat/surrender, etc. once activities have commenced. 6. There is a preparedness to engage in activities for a sustained duration. That is, militant(s) will be in for the long haul. 7. Losses, deprivation, etc. will be borne with equanimity by the participant(s) in militant activities. 8. There will be a readiness to assume control of the reigns of power or authority at the end of period, however long it lasts. 9.
