| MIDDLE DISTANCE Definition: (usually - the middle distance) The part of a painting or a view that is neither very close nor very far away. ______________________________________________________________________ * All four elements would be in. 1. Measurement (= distance) is as exactly desired by painter/viewer - no wish for part to be closer or farther away. 2. Part is static and/or permanent - cannot expand or contract. 3.
