Melodic minor scale
MELODIC MINOR SCALE

Definition: (music) A minor scale, which when ascending, has semitones between the second and third and between the seventh and eight steps, the other intervals being whole tones. In descent, the seventh and eight tones are both flattened, so that it becomes the same as the natural minor.
