| MEETING (1) Definition: An occasion when people come together to discuss or decide something. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary - wherever the venue. 2. Appropriately convened or summoned and/or officially authorized. 3. Environment or ambience of meeting place is convenient for activities and deliberations. 4. Planned or programmed. Commences at the schedule time and, if impromptu or an emergency, defensible or justifiable. 5. Well-organized. That is, place is made safe and secured for the people attending event - with or without a communique at the end. 6. All or a majority of those expected, turn up. Or a quorum is/was formed and an adequate number of persons attended. 7. Well-conducted. That is, the agenda is thoroughly and adequately treated, however long it lasts, whether discussion is concluded at one sitting or not. 8. Serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s), whether minutes are taken or not during occasion. 9.
