| BAKING Definition: The process of cooking using dry heat in an oven. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful to cook dish or item using particular method. 2. Considered a necessity to use oven. That is, other means to achieve goal(s) is/are available, but ... 3. What is to be cooked (= baked) is specific and identifiable, measurable and/or assessable. 4. Ingredients are collected completely and recipe is known. 5. Oven is made ready for process to commence, by the required cleaning, arrangement, turning equipment on, establishing and confirming heat settings, tuning devices, etc., etc. 6. Mixture(s) and preparation(s) are done correctly. 7. Pans, baking trays, containers, tins, etc. with raw and mixed ingredients are put into oven in the right order and manner. 8. Very close and regular monitoring of what is being cooked is ensured. That is, the oven, with or without an electronic timer, or transparent door, is watched frequently. 9. Process lasts - starts and ends - for appropriate duration. 10. Serves purpose(s). That is, what is baked will be good enough to be eaten, sold, displayed, etc. 11.
