| MECHANIZATION Definition: The change of a process, so that the work is done by machines rather than people. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Approved and authorized appropriately. 3. Change is executed timely, when maximum benefit can be obtained. 4. Cost of change is not exorbitant. 5. Employees do not get completely laid off or abandoned as an outcome of new production or manufacturing methods. 6. Product from use of machines is not inferior to what peoples' or labourers' manual labour earlier produced. 7. Introduction of machinery does not have a destructive effect on the environment and/or ecosystem. 8.
