Definition: A way of judging or measuring something.

1. Specific and identifiable.

2. Comparable and/or can be graded.

3. Fixed and constant, not left to whims or mood swings.

4. Assessable, understandable - clear and precise.

5. Way is adopted when in the right frame of mind or when the senses are in an excellent condition (connect to #6).

6. Explainable, meaningful - can therefore be appreciated by other right-thinking persons.

7. Genuine, defensible - cannot be faulted by an independent assessor. That is, there can be no accusation of bias, incompetence, short-sightedness, extremism, bigotry, etc., etc.
