| MATRON OF HONOUR Definition: (British English) A married woman who is the most important bridesmaid at a wedding. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (and was personally chosen by the bride). 2. Acts as leader and director of 'train' (and should be the only married woman or the only person with position in group). 3. Has or had no amorous relationship, and does not plan to have a sexual or romantic relationship with the about-to-be newly-wed (and seen as a role model, especially by the other maids). 4. Performs roles and functions effectively (and keeps integrity and dignity intact, during and after event). 5. Appropriately dressed (and without a visible belly protrusion and with her wedding band on the right finger!). 6.
