| MATCHREADING Definition: (informal) The process of interpreting the way a game is being played, with the intention of securing an advantage for the team being supported by the match-reader. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, especially if there was no match-fixing arrangement in place. 2. Who understands and interprets the way game progresses will be in a vantage viewing position. 3. Observation commences immediately at the start of play, before a damage is done (connect to #5). 4. Consultation and discussion with the active players will be ongoing while the game is being played. 5. Directives or talk which will enhance understanding will be clear and not contradict game plan or negate fair play. 6. Change in tactic, formation and/or of personnel, if need be, will take place only if it will help enhance performance. 7.
