| MARCESCENCE Definition: (botany, of a plant part) The condition of being marcescent (withering without detaching itself from the plant). ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Normal or natural, i.e. expected, all other things being equal. 2. Healthy or other part will be unaffected at the point in time. 3. No loss of any sort would occur as a direct consequence. 4. Part withering will eventually fall off at its own time. 5. Part that withers will be somewhat useful to soil. 6. (Reserved.)
