| MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT Definition: A management consultant is someone whose job is to advise companies on the best ways to run their business. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Has a purpose and considers work a necessity. 2. Registered as a 'sole trader' or as a partner in a firm. 3. Experienced and has had a stint in business. Or his or her own firm is doing well and making adequate profit in line of business. 4. Gets all the required data or information before starting decision-making process. And conversant with the extant laws, economic models, and the rules and regulations of the industry. 5. The recommendations that so-called expert will make will be wide-ranging, covering recruitment, running costs, labour relations, etc. 6. Has the ability to organize or arrange technical support, a follow-up action, etc. to enhance the viability of the advice earlier given. 7. Professional fees will be considered reasonable, especially if it cannot be based on, or decided by, the regulator's guidelines. 8. Will be able to understand and therefore convincingly explain or justify if and when things go wrong, especially when the advice that he or she gave was taken and used appropriately (to emphasize). 9. Fulfils all legal obligations, and where possible performs some corporate social responsibility or gives something positive back. 10.
