| MANAGEMENT (2) Definition: The act of running and controlling a business or similar organization. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Carried out within the ambit of the law. 3. Efficient, that is, cost-effective. 4. Efficient, that is, time-saving. 5. Humanely, that is, people-oriented. 6. Environmentally-friendly and also protective of the ecosystem. 7. Conducted honestly and transparently - with employees, labour, owners, interests, etc. being regularly considered as priority. 8. Progressive. That is, forward-looking and planning for the good future prospects of business/organization. 9. Industrial and labour relations are excellently handled by the managers/owners. 10. Beneficial for shareholders, workers, the larger society, etc. That is, running is successfully carried on. In other words, managers perform creditably and even exceed 'profit' expectations, where applicable. 11. Management (company) or (individual(s)) (= manager(s)) fulfils all legal obligations, performs some corporate social responsibility or give something back to society. 12. Prudent. And seeks assistance, renders support and offers cooperation to other businesses in the industry, if required.
