| MALNUTRITION Definition: A poor condition of health caused by a lack of food or a lack of the right type of food: imperfect or faulty nutrition. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Not arising from a hunger strike. 2. Not the result of the loss of appetite or an illness. 3. No directly linked to famine, war, pestilence, insecurity, etc. 4. Not the outcome of illiteracy or a lack of appropriate knowledge. 5. Cause is identifiable and is being addressed or attended to. 6. Duration that condition lasts is believed adequate. That is, efforts that will be made to get the right amount of food cum diet will eventually succeed. 7. Health and/or healthiness will be restored when the right kind and amount of food is provided and taken. 8. Impact of condition will be devastating - havoc, chaos, hardship, etc., and a lesson or lessons will be learned from the experience (To emphasize.) _________________________________________ PURPOSELESS AND UNNECESSARY.
