Definition: (disapproving) Imagining or pretending things to be different or more exciting than they really are.

1. Purposeful and necessary, in pretender's opinion.

2. Knows surely that things are not as imagined, presented or acted.

3. Pretender suffers no additional 'loss', from the activities engaged in.

4. (Reserved.) (Others, if any, do not know what pretender is going through - there is, therefore, a cooperation given or an understanding shown, by others in the situation.)

5. Lasts for a period considered appropriate - until 'dreamer' is brought down to earth, by circumstances beyond his or her control!

6. Act achieves objective(s), whatever this/these is/are, but only while it lasts.

7. Situation will be regretted afterwards, whatever the temporary gains secured during the 'flight of fancy'.
