Low season
LOW SEASON

Definitions:

i. (especially British English) The time of year when a hotel or tourist area receives fewest visitors.

ii. (British) The time of year when a place receives the fewest visitors and fares and holiday accommodation are often cheaper.

1. Reason(s) or cause(s) for reduced visits is or can be known.

2. Hotels, holiday inns, etc. will be prepared for the period.

3. Promotions, advertisements, etc. to attract patronage will be on during period even as substantial impact will not be made by these.

4. No unplanned loss will arise for hoteliers, entrepreneurs, tour operators, etc. during period (connect to #2 & #6).

5. 'Cheapness' will not be synonymous with lower standards. That is, quality of services in hotels, etc. will not reduce during the period.

6. Season will end early or earlier than projected or predicted.

7. Savings that will be made by visitors and tourists, from reduced fares and discounted accommodation rates, will be considerable and judiciously used.
