| LOOSE CANNON Definition: A person, usually a public figure, who often behaves in a way that nobody can predict. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Behaviour, good or bad, cannot be acceptable at the particular point in time. And it will be clearly embarrassing to others witnessing or affected by it. 2. Cannot be effectively stopped, before it starts. That is, a warning, caution, an entreaty, etc. will not be heeded by this person. If this/these will not even make matters worse. 3. Person is aware of nature. That is, deliberately usually decides to be unpredictable, whether he or she plans ahead or not for the behaviour that will be displayed. 4. A 'loss' will arise from behaviour, for the person who or the party that considers person 'loose'. Even as the public figure will be satisfied with act, action or inaction. 5. There will be no apology for behaviour, whether a justification is given or not by the public figure. 6. Person who is unpredictable cannot or would not be sanctioned or punished - too high, too protected, too insignificant - though a loss occurs as a direct outcome of his or her (mis)behaviour. ________________________ >> ..
