| LOOPHOLE (1) Definition: [ ~ (in something) ] A mistake in the way a law, contract, etc. has been written which enables people to legally avoid doing something that the law, contract, etc. had intended them to do. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Not knowingly or deliberately created. 2. Not so 'big'. That is, not so obvious/strange that it should not have gone unnoticed during the process of enactment, drafting, etc. 3. Will bring a gain when exploited or taken advantage of. 4. Will cause a loss to a system, project, etc., when 'explored'. 5. Can be plugged, closed or blocked, before or after bringing a gain and/or causing some loss. 6. No 'adjustment' or 'correction' can be made after mistake is realized.
