| LOOK-IN (1) Definitions: i. (idiomatic - (not) get/have a look-in) (British English, informal) (Not) to get a chance to take part or succeed in something. ii. (British English, informal) If you are trying to take part in an activity and you do not get a look-in, you do not get the chance to take part because too many other people are doing it. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. You are totally ready and completely prepared, mobilized and with the wherewithal to be fully involved, or to try or attempt, or to dare or take a risk, etc. in order to participate or attain desired success. 2. Your expectation will not be based on a promise, pledge or an assurance that will be given by another person or group of people. 3. You have no demons to exorcise before try will be made. And no trepidation or misgivings exists while you make appropriate effort. 4. Denial or refusal or lack of opportunity cannot be attributed to law. That is, no injunction can stop or thwart attempts being made. 5. Loss that will be suffered from a lack of opening, or an inability to be involved, or unlikelihood of success will be enormous. 6. No doubt about your willingness to stay the course.
