| LONG HAUL Definition: A difficult task that takes a long time and a lot of effort to complete. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to embark on task. (And it is known or suspected, from the beginning, how tedious and arduous task will be.) 2. Task is not legally bound to be undertaken. And is not strictly an illegality. (And cannot be avoided or abandoned, stopped or discontinued, once taken up and/or started.) (To emphasize.) 3. Will not be deliberately made more difficult in scope, or longer, in time, by competitor(s), rival(s), etc., if any. (And its nature or condition will not drastically change, after it is started, to make it become harsher, harder, meaner, extended, etc.) 4. There will be challenges, stumbling blocks, discouragement, etc. along the way. (But there will not be despair or disillusionment, or a resort to unlawfulness or underhand tactics to achieve goal(s). And there will be no compromise with or settling for anything less or substandard to the original standard(s) meant to be achieved.) 5. Task will eventually take more than the budgeted or planned efforts, without a loose end. (Or will take all the energy, resources, time, etc. available, before it is completed.) 6. Expected advantage, mileage, etc. will be substantial or important, in the opinion of person performing task. (Or the end result, outcome, etc. on completion of endeavour, will be exactly that hoped for.) 7. Benefit, profit, gain, etc., on completion can or will be obtained and/or enjoyed.
