| LOBBY (4) Definition: (British English) An organized attempt by a group of people to influence politicians on a particular issue. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Considered necessary to put pressure on politicians. 3. Issue is researched, studied and understood fully by the lobbyists. 4. Meetings and consultations are conducted with politicians. 5. Arguments for or against are presented and these are listened to by the politicians. 6. Alternatives or options are proffered by lobbyists, including the use of recall threats and ultimatums, if required. 7. Efforts are commenced and concluded timely, when purpose(s) can still be effectively served. 8. Nothing illegal will be employed to try to 'force' politicians. 9.
