| BACK-ROOM BOYS Definition: (British English) People who do important work for a person or an organization but who are not well known themselves. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Persons are aware of their relevance to person or organization. And public is suspicious of their value or worth to service provider. 2. The important work that they do is done excellently, each and every time, by all the persons in group. 3. Won't hold 'boss' or employer to ransom by demands for increase in pay, improved conditions of service, etc. That is, 'boys' will not proceed on an industrial action without exhausting all legal avenues. 4. Won't be possible, especially by competitors or rivals, to poach these particularly hardworking persons. 5. Won't seek popularity, fame or publicity, even with the permission of boss or employer. 6. Remains in employment for desired duration, especially in the opinion of employer, whether position as 'background staff' is denied or admitted, when asked by persons who are not in the know. __________________________________ See perfect RELEVANCE (2).
