| LIFE STORY Definition: The story that somebody tells you about their whole life. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the storyteller, whether you asked for it or not. 2. Part(s) that storyteller was told by others; parent(s), foster parent(s), guardian(s), babysitter(s), etc. - from birth to early childhood - which is being retold, is/are true and complete. 3. Part from early childhood that the narrator remembers/recalls are correctly told, without omissions or embellishments. 4. Story is told completely and fully, to the present moment or to the most recent events, without tales of future plans or hopes (see definition). 5. Storyteller wastes no time with unnecessary gesticulations, demonstrations, repetitions, etc., unless these are requested for by you. That is, time that narrative takes is considered as reasonable. 6. You listened, with rapt attention, all through narration, and asks questions, etc. where necessary, getting appropriate replies or responses from talker. That is, something positive is gained from all that is heard. 7. Act serves purpose(s), especially for the storyteller, be narrative a sob story or one considered as some 'shaggy-dog'. _______________ * HISTORY ! | |
