Definition: [ ~ (for/against something) ] An action that is used to put pressure on somebody to do something they do not want to do.

1. Purposeful and necessary.

2. Action is not patently illegal, for which a loss can be suffered afterwards, especially by who comes under pressure - becoming an accessory after the fact !

3. What will be required to be done by the result of action will not be generally threatening, dangerous, risky, etc. for doer, but would be 'encouraging', 'supportive' and 'desirable'.

4. End result or outcome will be presented to person under pressure as going to be beneficial, for who is pressed into taking an action.

5. Action that will compel the desired response (= action) will not ordinarily be a marathon. That is, action will be expected to be taken quickly, on the impact of the effect(s) of the pressure mounted.

6. Brings no unplanned loss for who is applying pressure.

7. Achieves objective(s) as exactly hoped for.
