| LEG-UP (2) Definition: (idiomatic - to give somebody a leg-up) (British English, informal) To help somebody to improve their situation. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for helper to render assistance. 2. Assistance was requested. Or a free offer was happily accepted. 3. Standard or level that situation improves to is believed appropriate to make some meaning. And can be sustained for a reasonable period of time. 4. Help rendered is unconditional, unencumbered. That is, assistance is not tied to a rendering of service in return, or a payment to benefactor, of any kind. 5. No unplanned loss is suffered by helper in the process. And help will not be regretted in the future. 6. Strategies adopted to achieve improved situation are or can be disclosed to beneficiary or recipient of help. 7. (Reserved.) (Beneficiary is able and willing to further help another person, if requested and affordable, as a result of improvements achieved through another's earlier help.) 8.
