| LEFT FIELD (2) Definitions: i. (informal, especially North American English) An opinion or a position that is strange or unusual and a long way from the normal position. ii. If you say that someone or something has come out of left field, you mean that they are untypical, unusual, or strange in some way. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have person, or to leave thing or situation deliberately, with peculiar stance, 'odd' qualities or 'queer' features. 2. Person cannot be upset or diminished and cannot be dehumanized as a result of strange opinion or unusual position. And/or thing will not suffer an unplanned loss as a direct consequence of 'oddity'. 3. 'Strange' is not disorganized, confusing or a mishmash; 'unusual' is not incomplete, lacking or short of a part or component. And unique person will be cocksure and convinced about stance - cannot make a u-turn on opinion held or renounce a stated position. 4. Person can be purposeful and have some use, and opinion or position will have some benefit or advantage, even if this/these is/are not easy to know or discover or understand. 5.
